Doing a facial sauna at home is extremely simple; all you need is a basin of hot water and a microfiber towel. Opt for an iron container instead of plastic to prevent plastic molecules from mixing with the steam.
Regarding skincare products, you can add a few drops of essential oils to the hot water to provide your skin with their benefits. Some people prefer using rose hydrosol instead of water for targeted care.
Finally, complete your skincare routine with a gentle scrub and a vegetable oil or moisturizing cream. Vegetable oil is a good option, especially if you often use a cream, as it’s beneficial to vary your skincare routine.

Steps for Facial Sauna
Heat water in a kettle or pot. While waiting for it to boil, cleanse your face with your usual cleanser and ensure there are no residues left.
Once the water has boiled, transfer it to a basin. You can add a few drops of essential oils if necessary. Your spa setup is ready!
Next, dampen your towel and cover your head with it so that the steam is trapped around your face. Steam your face for 8 to 10 minutes, then remove the towel and basin.
If needed, proceed with a gentle scrub to remove dead skin cells more effectively. Avoid using harsh exfoliants, as your pores are already open due to the steam bath.
The fourth step involves removing blackheads and other impurities that couldn’t be removed during the initial cleansing. Use a mask to extract dirt more easily, especially a peel-off mask formulated to remove blackheads. Rinse off the product with lukewarm water or by dabbing your face with a soft cotton pad soaked in lukewarm water. Avoid excessive rubbing, as the skin is still sensitive to irritation! To close the pores, apply a toner. This product also prevents dirt from re-entering your skin.
Finally, moisturize your skin with your usual moisturizer or vegetable oil. Don’t skip this step, as the heat tends to dry out the skin. You can stop here or proceed with makeup if necessary. Ideally, perform this treatment before bedtime to allow your skin to rest afterward.
