Acne pimples can invade areas other than the face. For some people, they can accumulate on other parts of the body, particularly the back, where dirt, oil and dead skin accumulate.
This problem affects teenagers and adults alike, and deserves just as much attention as pimples on the face. Since pimples on the back are both unsightly and annoying, you need to treat them effectively.
How do you get rid of pimples on the back?
Here are a few solutions.
Use a mild shower gel
Soap is certainly effective in removing dirt from the skin, but if you have pimples on your back, it’s best to avoid it. It tends to stimulate sebum secretion and irritate sensitive skin. So opt for a PH-neutral shower gel that won’t dry out or irritate the skin.
You can even wash your back with a face wash, whose active ingredients are less aggressive for the skin.
Note that hair products leave an oily or waxy deposit on the epidermis, clogging pores and causing rashes. To avoid making your back even greasier, be sure to wash your hair before you shower. And be sure to rinse your back thoroughly with clear, low-temperature water at the end of the shower, to ensure that any product residue is removed.
Do the laundry more often
Clothes are a breeding ground for bacteria, as dead skin cells are continually deposited on them. As this dirt is the source of pimples, you need to wash it off regularly. You need to wash not only your clothes, but also underwear, towels, sheets and blankets, as they are also in contact with these bacteria.
For this, choose a mild liquid detergent based on Marseille soap, which does not contain allergenic agents that are potentially irritating to the skin.
Choosing the right clothes
Synthetic garments are not recommended for back pimples sufferers, as they trap bacteria and moisture from perspiration. Instead, opt for cotton fabrics that are less obstructive to the skin, especially if you usually perspire a lot.
You should also avoid wearing clothes that are too tight, as they stick too tightly to the skin and will irritate it even more.
Clay mask
Like the face, a back riddled with pimples needs more targeted care than cleansing with soap. To alleviate breakouts, consider applying a clay mask that will absorb excess sebum from the skin. Simply form a paste with green clay and water, apply a thin layer to the skin, then rinse off in the shower with lukewarm water after a 20-minute pause.
This green clay mask will limit the appearance of blackheads and pimples.
