Every year sees its share of beauty trends to follow…or not. The purpose of these trends is to remind us how important it is to take care of ourselves and our physical appearance, but also and above all, to show us the right gestures and products to adopt in order to do so.
While certain trends are definitely a fad, don’t think that everything is good to ignore.
If you’ve lost your way in the crowd of beauty tips that are all the rage on the web, we’ve selected for you the beauty trends to follow in 2022.
Scalp care has become essential
The new must-have routine for 2022 (and since 2021 for that matter) is scalp care. It’s a logical move, since a healthy scalp is the key to beautiful hair. So this year, we’re putting the spotlight on hair care products, especially those targeting problems such as: dandruff, dry hair, sebum, etc. Among the most recommended: nourishing oils and VAO shampoos.
Care also includes:
- scalp scrubs ;
- accessories that stimulate blood circulation;
- hair masks;
- dietary supplements formulated for hair growth, etc..
Vitamine E
If vitamin C was the star of skincare a year ago thanks to its anti-aging virtues, it’s vitamin E that’s dominating the scene today. And with good reason: this natural nutrient helps maintain optimal skin hydration, as well as preventing the effects of free radicals. Using vitamin E is an excellent way to achieve beautiful, long-lasting skin, as it also protects against pollution, UVB rays, wrinkles and more.
This vitamin also has a healing effect, ideal for irritated and sensitive skin, as it optimizes blood microcirculation and healing.
Whether in the form of a skincare product to be applied to the skin or a capsule to be swallowed, it’s well worth making vitamin E part of your beauty routine. Especially since the body doesn’t produce enough vitamin E to ensure all these actions.
Reverse skincare, the new beauty star!
Reverse skincare is an increasingly popular beauty routine. The aim of this technique is to ensure skin hydration and radiance. It is therefore perfect for dry, irritated and dehydrated skin. It is also suitable for dull, lackluster skin.
What sets this technique apart from others is the steps involved. Reverse skincare involves starting with the thickest textures first, then gradually working up to the thinner ones.
So, like all routines, it starts with cleansing the face, but then continues with moisturizing cream, followed by toner and serum.
The reverse beauty routine also involves soaking several cotton pads with the various products, then placing them on the face for at least 15 minutes to let them work and leave skin soft and plumped.
Solid cosmetics
Solid cosmetics continue to be all the rage, especially among slow cosmetics enthusiasts.
Whether it’s shampoo, conditioner, facial cleanser or deodorant, the trend is towards cosmetics in solid form. However, you need to pay particular attention to the ingredients of this type of product, and especially to the active ingredients used, as the solid format does not do everything in terms of efficacy!
